GAMBLING

Compulsive and habitual gambling is a serious problem which in extreme cases can destroy a person's life. A compulsive gambler is unable to resist their impulses to gamble, leading to severe consequences such as debt, family disruption, relationship breakdown, job loss, criminal activity and even suicide.

For compulsive gamblers the urge to gamble becomes so great that it can only be relieved by gambling more and more.

Sufferers of gambling addiction are often unaware of, or are in denial of, having a problem. The first step towards addressing your gambling addiction is admitting that there is a problem. Compulsive gambling is treatable, once this first step is taken.

Hypnotherapy for gambling addiction is one method which many people find effective. Through hypnosis and relaxation techniques hypnotherapy can help you to access your subconscious mind in order to identify the triggers that led to your gambling addiction. Once the triggers are identified I will work with you to help you manage your feelings and cope with the triggers.

As well as hypnotherapy for gambling addiction, a combination of the talking therapies of counselling and psychotherapy combined with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) can help address the underlying issues causing the gambling problem as well as coping with the effects of the addiction.
